Payment and Absence POLICY
Please read my policy so there is no confusion.

Payment POLICY:
DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR:
People sign up with me by the session. Your payment secures a place in my schedule. PLEASE PAY BY THE START OF EACH SESSION’S FIRST CLASS. IF YOU NEED TO REQUEST SPECIAL PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS, PLEASE CONTACT ME  BEFORE THE START OF EACH SESSION.
I follow the Bainbridge Island Public School District calendar.

If it a holiday, I will not be scheduling classes. It is out of my control when families decide to go on vacation. In order to secure your spot in my schedule, you are responsible for each session's tuition. If you decide that doesn't work for you, you can exit and then when you return, please contact me and I'll put your swimmer on my waitlist. If you are out of town during regular scheduled classes, I put your child on my "Sick" List and call you when there's a make up time.

SUMMER: 
Due to so many people traveling, you pick the dates you would like your child to attend and pay for those.
Forms of Payment:
I accept checks and cash. Please let me now what method you are using when you pay.
PLEASE NOTE:I am currently not accepting PayPal or any form of digital currency.

Sickness/Absence POLICY:
 Make up lessons are on a SPACE ONLY basis and as a courtesy to my swimmers. I cannot guarantee a make up but I will try. There are no refunds if you miss a class. Your payment secures a space in my schedule. If I cancel a class due to illness or an emergency, you will be refunded or a lesson will be rescheduled.


CALL, TEXT or EMAIL as soon as you can to let me know your child will miss class. Your child’s name is put on my Sick List. I take another child’s name from that same list and pop him/her into your vacant spot. This system has been successful. If your email or contact phone number has recently changed, please tell me.
Please make sure I have your text info, I will text you when a spot pops up.

Bad Weather POLICY:
Ice and snow and driving are bad combinations! Please let me know ASAP if you can’t make it to the pool.
If the entire area is snowed/iced in, you will be reimbursed for any missed classes.

Power OUTAGE:
Unlike the aquatic center, our filter and pump system does not run 24/7. We have auxiliary lights so if it is not too dark, classes will happen. If in doubt, call my cell number. 206.313.4987. Call, don't email, SINCE I might not have power!

Clarification about holding a spot until you return in the Fall


Many of you leave my program for the Summer to take a break or to go to other pools' swim lesson program.
Let me clarify about holding a spot for you when you return in the Fall.
After you all leave, all the vacant spots will be filled with new swimmers. My policy has always been that current swimmers have first Priority for upcoming sessions. Since they will become all my current swimmers, this group will get first priority in the Fall.
If I have any extra spots at that time, I will let you know what is available.
This doesn't mean that I don't appreciate you and your wonderful children but I do need to be fair to all my clients. Thank you for understanding this difficult part of running a small, one person business.
